What an exciting year it has been for us at DuralChrome!
Wow, where do we start? Well, we listened to your feedback and completely re-engineered the entire product from the base to the cartridges. This resulted in a greater degree of precision, more reliable operations and made the product more easily serviceable.
Some specifics and important details of the changes included reformulating the inks to remove the most dangerous chemicals while providing 50% better performance in color fastness. As we know how important this has been to you, we also extended the shelf life of the inks and were able to greatly reduce the sedimentation that has affected print heads in the past. . We are beginning to sample these new inks with some of our existing customers and the feedback so far has been fabulous.
The other ‘biggest’ change that we are very proud of is that our first re-engineered printer was the largest printer that we have ever made – a whopping 1700mm x 2500mm! Now that is an exceptionally large-format printer.
So, what are our plans for the New Year? We are unquestionably excited with the prospects, some of which are already well into in the development pipeline (but obviously we can’t give too much away). Firstly, we expect to move to a new print head technology while we expand our supported ink types. We are also very thrilled to introduce a new ‘hush hush’ development in our Computer to Screen technology and we’ll keep you posted on that.
We’ve also finished the year with a brand new website and product approach that has you, our customer, as the focus. You’ll notice now that our website is divided into five customer product lines making it easier for you to find information according to your needs:
· Bathroom and Shower Walls
· Kitchen and Splashbacks
· Signs and Displays
· Architectural Design and
· Screen Stencil Production.
So, as 2016 draws to a close, all that remains is for me, on behalf of the DuralChrome team, to wish you a very happy end to the year and a wonderful and safe festive season. We look forward to serving you in 2017 and exceeding your large-format printing expectations.
